Top 10 Children’s books for 6 to 9 year olds

Welcome to the Top10 Children’s Books series. We are making a list of the top ten books in terms of children’s age ratio. The books we choose depend on their sales and readers’ reviews. There are numerous children’s books on the market. Even new writers are writing very good books for the little ones. We have prepared this list with some new books and some timeless books. 1.Alice’s Adventures in the Wonderland

This book, written by Lewis Carroll, was first published in 1865. A young girl accidentally falls into a rabbit hole and reaches a fantasy world. The world is different from the ordinary world, where all the strange creatures live and their rules and regulations are different.

This captivating and delightful timeless book is written for children but everyone from young to old can enjoy it.

2.The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was written by L.Frank Baum and illustrated by W.W. Denslow. The book was first published in 1900.

The story of the book is about a little girl named Dorothy and her pet dog. A cyclone blows them away from their home and takes them to a magical land. To get home, Dorothy must find The Wonderful Wizard in Emerald of Oz. On the way, she meets Tin Woodman and Cowardly Lion. But the wicked witch has some other plan in mind. Will Dorothy be able to come back home again?

3.The Witches

The book was published in 1983 by Ronald Dahl.

The story revolves around an unnamed seven-year-old English boy and his grandmother. Grandmother tells her little grandson about the real witches, who look like ordinary women. They don’t wear black dresses and hats and walk around in public like ordinary women.

They are extremely devilish and their leader powerful and cunning Grand High Witch has come to England. Their goal is to turn all children in England into rats.

Can’t escape from their hands? Of course, no matter how cunning they are, they can be recognized. But how?

5. Malgudi Schooldays

Published in 1935, the book is written by popular Indian author RK Narayan.

The novel revolves around a 10-year-old boy Swami whose real name is Swaminathan and his friends. Their days at school are full of action. The lively Swami sometimes makes a fuss in the classroom or plans to pass the exam in a shortcut manner.

A much-awaited cricket match will be held at Malgudi. Swami is considered the main bowler in the Mulgudi Cricket Club team.  They will play against the strong Young Men’s Union.

6. Treasure Island

If you want to give your little reader a taste of adventure, then this book can fulfill that desire. Boy Jim’s boldness and perseverance, evil Blind Pew, the Long John Silver’s betrayal, greed make this story even more thrilling.

Written in 1882 by Robert Louis Stevenson, the book has been widely acclaimed around the world.

7. The Adventure of Robin Hood

Howard Pyle’s The Adventure of Robin Hood was first published in 1883.

Social justice, abuse of power, distribution of social resources are very complex issues. This book can explain these issues to the children very well through stories.

In the 12th century, Robin Hood became the face of the revolt of the oppressed people against the Prince John of England and the Sheriff of Nottingham.

8. Kiki’s Delivery Service

Eiko Kadono is a Japanese author and he is the writer of this timeless novel written for children. The book was published in 1985 and became very popular soon after its publication. The book has received numerous awards in Japan.

10.Grandmother’s Bag of Stories

Who can tell a better story than Grandma! When she would take out one story after another from his bag, the grandchildren would start listening with fascination.
